Welcome to Accelerating Angels, where individual accredited and non-accredited angel investors can come together with a shared passion for fostering the growth of privately held companies and ventures in their early stages. As a member of Accelerating Angels, you'll have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic network that facilitates connections between entrepreneurs and potential investors. Through presentations and various mechanisms, we facilitate introductions that pave the way for exciting collaborations and investment opportunities.

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Members are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with our Membership Agreement and Code of Conduct, ensuring a respectful and supportive environment for all.

Membership at Accelerating Angels is by invitation only, extended to qualifying individuals who share our vision and values. Our Membership Committee carefully considers each candidate, maintaining the integrity and strength of our community.

This membership level is for accredited investors who want to participate by getting involved in the investment process and are interested in investing in the companies that pitch for funding alongside or independently from the Fund(s). Sidecar investors are encouraged to invest in one or more deals per year. As a member of Accelerating Angels, you automatically gain membership benefits within the Angel Capital Association, further enhancing your access to resources and opportunities within the investment ecosystem.

Process for Membership Qualification: 

• Complete the Membership Application. 
• You must provide proof that you are an accredited investor by answering all the appropriate accredited investor certification documentation with your application.
• The Membership Committee will review all membership applications. 
• You will be invoiced the annual dues for $1,000 upon acceptance of your application. (Note: Investors in the Fund(s) do not have annual dues as management fees are built into that investment.)

This membership level is for non-accredited investors who want to learn and be involved while they are working toward the accredited investor requirements. Aspiring Angels are not able to make any investments in the deals. There are opportunities to work on committees and participate on screening calls and due diligence teams.

• Access to Pitch Events: Attend presentations from promising startups seeking funding, providing exposure to innovative business ideas and investment opportunities. 
• Committee Participation: Contribute to various committees, such as screening and due diligence teams, allowing for active involvement in the investment decision-making process. 
• Preparation for Accredited Status: While non-accredited investors cannot make investments, this membership serves as a stepping stone toward meeting accredited investor requirements, equipping members with the knowledge and experience needed for future investment endeavors.

Definition of an Accredited Investor: 

Rule 501 of Regulation D of the Securities Act of 1933 (Reg. D) provides the definition for an accredited investor. Simply put, the SEC defines an accredited investor through the confines of income and net worth in two ways: 1) A natural person with income exceeding $200,000 in each of the two most recent years or joint income with a spouse exceeding $300,000 for those years and a reasonable expectation of the same income level in the current year; or 2) A natural person who has an individual net worth, or joint net worth with the person’s spouse, that exceeds $1 million at the time of the purchase, excluding the value of the primary residence of such person; or 3) an individual with an active Series 7, 65 or 82 license.

• Complete this Membership Application. 
• The Membership Committee will review all membership applications. 
• You will be invoiced the annual dues for $250 upon acceptance of your application. 
• You will not be able to invest in any deals.
