Accelerating Angels Foundation

 The Accelerating Angels invests in women-led start-up businesses that have high growth potential through two pathways: our Foundation, a 501(c)(3), and our Investment Fund.

The Accelerating Angels Foundation creates a welcoming community that educates and supports women entrepreneurs and activates new angel investors, especially women. When we bring them together, we create a more equitable investment landscape.

The Accelerating Angels Foundation is working to increase opportunities for women entrepreneurs to attain early-stage investment to grow their businesses by giving them access to education within supportive community that is committed to seeing more successful women-led businesses. 

 When women invest and are invested in, more women thrive. 

Currently, women-founded businesses receive only 2% of venture capital funding. Businesses founded by women of color receive even less. And this doesn’t reflect the many women entrepreneurs who don’t feel prepared to seek funding so they never attempt it.

However, research shows that women-led businesses perform better and post higher returns over time. When you invest in women, they thrive and create value for others yielding both social and financial returns. This creates a compounding positive impact in our economies and communities.

The Foundation creates a community of women entrepreneurs, angel investors, advisors, and volunteers that learn from and support each other. We provide education, resources, guidance, and a forum for connections. Together, we help women build skills, competencies, and confidence resulting in the ability to earn capital investments.

To deliver on our mission, Accelerating Angels Foundation provides education and support for entrepreneurs and investors to accomplish three things:

1. Increase the number of women entrepreneurs that are investment ready and can grow their businesses

2. Engage more investors who are new to angel investing, especially women, to give them a welcoming space to learn

3. Bring them together in a supportive, welcoming community that changes the growth trajectory for women entrepreneurs

The outcome is for women-led businesses to thrive, scale, and reinvest in future female founders. Ultimately, we are building momentum for women entrepreneurs.
