Have you considered Angel Investing? Well, you have come to the right place to learn all about it. There is no better way to make a direct impact than by investing in a startup company with innovative products or services that can save lives or create medical, social, technological, and environmental changes.
Sue Bevan Baggott In her career journey from Global Innovation Leader at Procter & Gamble to Founder of Power Within Consulting to “Accidental” Angel Investor and Startup Advisor, Sue discovered the power of empathetic human connections to drive more meaningful leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurial success. Her strategic leadership and innovation expertise helped grow mega-brands from Pantene to Pampers as well as accelerated success for several high-growth startups.
Sue strives to empower positive impact and drive meaningful change in our world through her speaking, advising, angel investing, and board roles - all in collaboration with purpose-driven leaders and organizations.
Through active participation in angel groups including Queen City Angels, Next Wave Impact, Mindshift Capital, and (KAW-choo-wuh) Kachuwa Impact Fund, Sue has built a portfolio of over 100 early-stage investments.

We will listen to a real startup company's story and learn the struggles female founders face and how they overcome them. This inspirational presentation will show you how important angel investing is to the overall startup ecosystem. With less than 2% of women getting Venture Capital investments, the opportunity to invest in these early-stage companies is wide open! The key to the success of a women startup is getting enough capital into their hands so that they can scale and grow to become VC-backable businesses. Be prepared to be inspired and excited about angel investing.
Kathryn Dougherty, MBA, is the Founder & CEO of Spritz Beverages Co, a start-up that is currently piloting in market a line of softly sparkling, boldly flavored, craft tea infusions. Recognizing a gap in the market for healthy drink alternatives that appeal to modern women and female athletes, Kathryn began experimenting with different flavor combinations in her kitchen in 2016. She left her leadership role at Johnson & Johnson at the end of 2019 to pursue the concept full time. The first four formulations of Spritz Tea are now available throughout Ohio, including 189 Kroger stores that are currently executing their first large scale pilot.
